Professor Allison Carruth awarded Morse Fellowship

Professor Allison Carruth has been awarded a 2010-11 Resident Scholar Fellowship in the Wayne Morse Center for Law & Politics. Her award is part of the Center’s wider theme of Climate Ethics and Climate Equity. As a Resident Scholar, Dr. Carruth is organizing an interdisciplinary conference on food justice, sustainability and security to coincide with the visit of Vandana Shiva to UO in February 2011. The conference is set for February 19-21, 2011 and will feature leading scholars as well as food & agriculture leaders and nonprofit organizations. As part of the fellowship, Carruth will also continue her new research project, «Terreforms: Environmental Visions in a Transgenic Age.»
