Park(ing) Day is an international celebration of urban space and public engagement. It is a day where architects, urban planners, philosophers, artists, designers and the greater community rethink public space and decide on how to utilize metered parking to fit the wider public good.
This Friday, students are repurposing two parking spaces into a space where you can enjoy snacks, relax in a unique space with your friends and envision a different way to utilize streets. Come stop by! Park(ing) Day will also feature student renderings of how the intersection of 15th and University could be redesigned to better fit the needs of pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles.
