Kari Norgaard and Julie Bacon receive award

Kari Norgaard, who was awarded the Marquina Faculty-Graduate Student Collaboration Award this past spring, has in turn awarded Julie Bacon the accompanying $2500 summer stipend for her collaboration on a joint paper (along with Ron Reed) on Karuk masculinity. The purpose of the award, which is given out by the UO Sociology Department, is to “encourage collaboration on research projects between faculty and graduate students and to provide summer funding to students to foster this collaboration.”
