UO Environmental Justice Students Make the Front Page

students-cedar-valley-webUniversity of Oregon students in an Environmental Justice course and the “Just Stories” 411 were recently featured on the front page of the Curry Coastal Pilot. The students visited the Curry County community of Cedar Valley to hear and document their stories about an herbicide spray that encroached on residential areas in October 2013.The students are producing a film documentary of the event to raise awareness that will be presented at the 2015 Public Interest Environmental Law Conference on March 5-8th at the UO School of Law.
