“MyMcKenzie” Student Photos Featured at Townsend’s Tea House
In 2011, ELP launched MyMcKenzie, a long-term community engagement initiative focused on the McKenzie River. With generous funding from donors, two teams of students used photographs and creative writing to reflect people’s relationships with the river and to promote its stewardship. They chose the themes of “Changing Colors,” “Moving Waters,” and “Interaction,” then created an interpretive artistic display for the McKenzie Arts Festival, a website, and a public art exhibit. Townsend’s Tea House is featuring their public art exhibit.
