Environmental Philosophy Journal Moves to UO
Environmental Philosophy, the official journal of the International
Association for Environmental Philosophy (IAEP), will move to the
University of Oregon in the fall of 2007, under the joint sponsorship
of
the Department of Philosophy and the Environmental Studies Program. Ted
Toadvine, Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Environmental Studies,
will serve as the journals managing editor.
Environmental Philosophy is published biennially and offers a forum
for the philosophical discussion of all aspects of our relation to the
natural environment, including environmental ethics, aesthetics,
ontology, and theology; the philosophy of science and technology;
ecofeminism and environmental justice; and ecophenomenology.
The
journal
welcomes a diversity of approaches to environmental issues, including
those inspired by the traditions of American and Continental philosophy
and the history of philosophy.
The journals publication at the University of Oregon will begin with a
double-issue, to appear in October, devoted to the topics of
environmental restoration and environmental aesthetics. |
