Because of my time spent with the Environmental Leadership Program and the exposure to outdoor education, I am currently looking to change career paths. I am applying for a NOLS Instructor Course in hopes of pursuing outdoor education in the future.

I lead 5th and 6th grade students on daily hiking trips during their week at outdoor science camp. Along the way, we stop to do lessons on various environmental science topics like photosynthesis, the water cycle, tree ID, and land formation processes. We also have afternoon and evening programs (recreation, campfire, night hikes, etc) that I help lead several times a week. Playing games and singing silly songs are also big components of my job.
